1954 Manufacturing has been a family-owned and operated company since its beginning.  Our quality truck bodies are manufactured at one of our state-of-the-art facilities in either Southern California or North Texas. The manufacturing space totals over 250,000 square feet under roof and over 200 acres of land.
 
 
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for assembling structural metal products using tools, machines, and their own hands. Fabricates various types of products.
 
 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to use variety of tools and equipment Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications Knowledge of industry safety practices.
Knowledge of specific welding processes, such as MIG welding Ability to use heavy machinery.
 
 
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To weld and fabricate parts in accordance with specifications and per company standards.
 
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of work-related experience
 
 
 
KEY COMPETENCIES
Blue Print Reading Skills Mechanical Aptitude
Oral Communication Skills Time and Project Management
 
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.
 
COMPENSATION
  • $21.50/hour, starting pay – wage can be higher based on experience
  • PTO (24 hours) – after 90 days of employment
  • Paid Vacation - 40 hours after 1 year, 80 hours after 5 years
  • $500 1-year anniversary bonus
