Agency of Saints Studio + Store Assistant (Part-Time)

This position is designed to support the daily operations at Agency of Saints by assisting with in-store coverage, organization, and scheduling coordination. The Store Assistant will also develop digital touchpoints for our retail business like social media, email and more. You'll join the AOS team to support content creation of our quality merchandise, planning in relation to events on the Square and learning about small, independent artists across Texas. Employees must report to our store to perform responsibilities and duties, and all work will remain in store (no opportunity for work-from-home).

Core Responsibilities:
Work the storefront during scheduled shifts and perform the following:
  • Help maintain the look and feel of the shop (restocking, light merchandising, tidying displays)
  • Perform opening/closing routines as described in the Employee Handbook
  • Help coordinate employee schedules and shift coverage
  • Run occasional local errands (supply pickup, post office runs, etc.)
  • Assist with inventory counts and product organization
  • Provide customer service and help customers find gifts/products
  • Support small operational tasks that keep the studio running day-to-day
  • Curate ideas and shopping lists for store decoration in relation to upcoming season
The right person for this role will be trained and develop skills required to perform the following:
  • Learn Wholesale Basics to understand retail
  • Upload new product and inventory into Shopify
  • Create Barcodes, tag and organize merchandise with branded touchpoints
  • Design emails in our templated formats to assist with promotions and sales
  • Create content that promotes new merchandise for social media
  • Follow internal protocol for approvals for social media, email marketing, and more
  • Follow trends on Social Media and relate them to AOS
    • This is all purely organic social media to keep our online presence active, this will not be measured, however the right person will retain consistency across Instagram, Facebook, Email and more.
Bonus Points if you're okay with:
  • Modeling new merchandise for photoshoots
  • Stepping in front of the camera for Instagram Stories and promoting with POV shots

The Fine Print:
  • Must be 18+ and currently enrolled in college or possess an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be available to work 2 Saturdays and 2 Fridays per month
  • Must be available for shifts that end no later than 6 p.m., and the occasional "late night" during events on the square (Black Friday, Shopping Sprees and Friday Night Bites before FTCTX)
  • Must be available for prep and teardown in between retail seasons and events
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds (although my husband will probably be doing it anyway)
  • Must provide their own transportation
  • Possession of laptop prior to employment is required
  • Transportation is the employee's responsibility
